Williamsburg virginia williamsburg regional library     The Williamsburg Regional Library Presents:

    STEAM at Night:

    Exploring the Night Sky

This month is all about the wonders of STEAM at night.Explore the night sky with NASA Scientist Paul Tartabini and other members of the NASA Langley Skywatchers Club. This program will feature a short talk indoors with special emphasis on the life cycle of stars, before you head outside (weather permitting) to use telescopes and binoculars to view the night sky.
You’ll also have a chance to meet nocturnal animals with an experienced animal educator who will teach you about the creatures that are awake and active at nighttime and their special adaptations for surviving in the dark!

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math – all the areas kids love to explore. Each month we’ll present a different STEAM-related program along with hands-on activities and crafts, designed with school-aged kids in mind, and made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
