After five decades as a fixture of the local landscape, the site formerly known as Williamsburg Campground has officially entered a new era. On Friday, July 10, the York County property held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its transformation into the latest destination in the Camp Jellystone network.
The event leaned into its new identity, featuring appearances by the iconic Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Boo Boo, and the park ranger. Local officials were also in attendance to mark the transition, noting the campground's long history and its recent refresh under new management.

For York County Board of Supervisors Chair Douglas Holroyd, the site holds a particularly meaningful connection; it is where his dog, Boo, was recovered after going missing in 2023—a situation that notably sparked updates to local city ordinances regarding lost pets.
The site is being managed by Northgate Resorts, a company that operates 35 campgrounds nationwide. While the name and branding have changed, the property remains focused on family-oriented outdoor activities. The updated park now features themed cabins, expanded RV and tent sites, as well as amenities like splash pads, mini-golf, and nature trails.
