Williamsburg is rolling out the red carpet for national TV as NBC’s 3rd Hour of TODAY broadcasts live from the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg on May 15 at 9 a.m. ET. The appearance comes as the region showcases the depth and diversity of experiences across Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown during America’s semiquincentennial year.
The announcement aired during the Wednesday, April 15 episode of the show, confirming that Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer will co‑host the broadcast. They’ll be joined by special guest co‑host Patton Oswalt, whose ties to the area stretch back to his William & Mary days.
The timing of the broadcast is no coincidence. May 15 marks exactly 250 years since the Fifth Virginia Convention met in Williamsburg to debate independence from Britain — a pivotal step that made July 4, 1776 possible.
Fans hoping to be part of the live audience can register for free tickets directly through the show. Sign‑ups are available at today.com/williamsburg.
