City of Williamsburg offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 23 and Friday, Dec. 24, as well as Friday, Dec. 31 and Monday, Jan. 3. This includes all offices in the Municipal Building on Lafayette Street.
Quarterpath Recreation Center will be closed Thursday, Dec. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 26, as well as Friday, Dec. 31 through Monday, Jan. 3. Waller Mill Park will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Williamsburg Regional Library is closed Thursday, Dec. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 26, as well as Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1. The Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse is closed Thursday, Dec. 23, Friday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 31.
The holiday does not affect trash or recycling collections in the City. Curbside leaf collection will be delayed by one day the week of Jan. 3, which is a Blue Route week; collection that week will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Need to pay a City bill when offices are closed? A convenient 24-hour bill payment drop box is located at the front of the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette Street, for City transactions and payments can be made online. Drop box payments made on Dec. 23 and 24 will not be posted until Monday, Dec. 27. Drop box payments made on Dec. 31 and Jan. 3 will not be posted until Tuesday, Jan. 4.
