Live Music : Patrick Ryan: 2nd Sundays
Patrick Ryan: Songwriter, Performer, & Vibe Creator
A staple of the Hampton Roads music scene, Patrick Ryan is all about good vibes, great music, and building community through song. As a full-time singer-songwriter, performer, and band leader, Patrick brings infectious energy to every show—whether he’s flying solo, jamming with his full band, or sharing the stage with his sax-wielding duo partner, Brandon Musko.
Known for heartfelt lyrics, genre-blending originals, and an unmistakable love for live performance, Patrick weaves rock, funk, jazz, blues, and country into a sound that’s uniquely his own. Drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, Joe Pass, and John Scofield, his music is rich with improvisation and emotion.
When he’s not writing songs or lighting up the stage, Patrick is growing the local music scene one open mic at a time. His weekly “Open Jam Tuesday” earned the 2022 VEER Award for Best Open Mic in Hampton Roads—and for good reason. It’s not just a jam; it’s a party where new talent is welcomed and celebrated.
With features on Coast Live (WTKR), VEER Magazine, and WYDaily, Patrick is making waves beyond the stage. Whether you catch him solo or with the full Patrick Ryan Band, expect a night full of fun, connection, and truly unforgettable music.
