If you haven’t had a chance to see these incredible artifacts, all of which are rapidly decaying in a private Virginia field, you now have a chance, complements of John Plashal, creator of “Stories of an Abandoned Virginia” and author of the popular coffee table book, “A Beautifully Broken Virginia”.

Is this a guided tour?
There are optional guided tours throughout the afternoon for those that would like to receive a history on the Heads and some interesting accompanying facts about several of the Presidents. This narrated tour will be held at 1:30 and then again at 2:30 and is about 35 minutes in duration. If you just care to roam the area at your leisure, and in the absence of a guided tour, that is fine too. To be specific, it is not necessary to arrive at 12:45 PM sharp. Arrive when you want between the registration hours of 12:30PM – 3:00PM. The property will need be vacated at 3:45PM sharp. Please do not show up before 12:30. Access to the Heads begins at 12:45PM.
Is this the only tour you offer on this day?
No. The VIP tour will be held from 3:45PM-5:45PM. Those that attend this VIP tour get 2 hours of access to the Heads amongst only 5 other individuals.
How do I get there?
The Presidents Heads sit on private property at 8212 Croaker Rd., immediately off the Croaker exit on I-64 near Williamsburg. The name of the business is Hampton Roads Materials. Please park near the trailer as you approach the house on the property. Do not park in front of the house. Weekend traffic on I-64 can be congested. Plan accordingly. Checking Waze or Google Maps before you come might be a good idea.
Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?
No there are not. Everyone is welcome. Children 12 and under are free.
What can I bring into the event?
PROPER FOOTWEAR IS CRITICAL. While it will be impossible to exactly predict the amount of mud and puddles in the area during the tour, it is safe to prepare for your shoes to get wet and muddy, especially around the area of the clustered 39 Presidents.
Cameras and drones are permitted but etiquette must be exercised to not be disruptive to other guests.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Canines are the BEST guests. Please have your dog(s) on a leash and prepare to clean up after them.
What’s the refund policy?
Refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather. The event will occur in the presence of periodic showers. The event will be cancelled in the event of sustained heavy rain, forecasted thunderstorms or weather with torrential downpours.
Is the area handicapped friendly?
Unfortunately not.
