Williamsburg Virginia Spring Break Camps are the perfect way for kids to stay active and start having more fun outdoors while school is out. Many area schools are celebrating Spring Break in April – and below is a WJCC list of local camps to help parents keep kids busy!

REC Connect Elementary Spring Break Camp• Ages 5 (must be enrolled in kindergarten) -10

Register by March 12, noon!


Monday-Friday, April 6-10, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., $35/day
Exciting field trips, great games and outdoor activities! Come join the fun! Programs held at Matoaka, Norge and Laurel Lane elementary schools (register early, space is limited). Enjoy spring break fun with exciting trips and hands-on activities. Bring lunch daily. Activity calendars will be sent to parents before program start date.

Monday-Thursday, April 6-9, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
$25/day/session
James City County Recreation Center
Experience FUN, arts and crafts, gym games and much more! A typical participant has a mild to moderate disability; can independently or with verbal cues, feed, bathe and toilet; is able to function successfully within a 1:3 staff to camper ratio; is able to adjust to changes in routine/environment with relative ease; and has the ability to effectively communicate needs either verbally or with a communication device. One on One Basketball Spring Break Camp • Ages 6-14
Monday-Friday, April 6-10, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., $250
James City County Recreation Center
A combination of positive, energetic and fundamentals-based coaching that maximizes the fun of real game action daily. Players will learn and refine skills and truly enjoy this total basketball experience appropriate for all skill levels. Learn fundamental skills that help players develop as athletes and teammates. Daily drills, games and competitions will keep the fun level high. Campers need to bring lunch and snacks daily. 504930-A

STEM Camp: Engineering & Robotics • Ages 7-12 New!
Monday-Thursday, April 6-9, 1-4 p.m., $160
James City County Recreation Center
Build different types of K’nex® bridges based on real bridge designs from around the world. Learn science, engineering and architectural concepts. There’ll also be fun, hands-on projects building and programming robots for sound and motion. Develop critical STEM and problem-solving skills. 204120-C

Spring Camp Chocolate • Ages 7-13
Monday-Thursday, April 6-9, 9 a.m.-noon, $115
James City County Recreation Center
Learn about chocolate-making and the history of chocolate along with games and lots of fun each day. We’ll focus on spring-themed treats including homemade Easter eggs, candy molds and more! Please note any food allergies at time of registration. Bring an apron and a small snack to class each day. Fee includes all supplies. 204120-B

Teen Spring Break Camp • Ages 10-14 Register by March 12, noon!

Outdoor Experience with JRA • Ages 10-16 New!
Monday-Friday, April 6-10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., $220
James River Association Educational Center
Join the James River Association for a spring break week alternative! Come experience a week of outdoor adventure and education. Campers will canoe Powhatan creek, learn about and perform seine netting, perform water quality tests, bike the Virginia Capital Trail, and participate in fun environmental games tied back to learning about the James River and its watershed. 804210-A
